Under the leadership of CAST, CPMA established the CAST UN Consultative Committee on Life Science and Human Health (CCLH)in 2006, which is responsible for tracking, analyzing and studying the trend and highlights of major international issues in the fields of life science and public health, as well as developing the principle, strategy, action plan, consultative key points and recommendations of participating in the consultative activities of the UN, based on China’s situation. CCLH, on behalf of China’s non-governmental organizations, has taken part in various global and regional conferences and issued voice of the mainstream. In particular, CCLH played a very positive role in the International AIDS Conference. CCLH also organizes various seminars and workshops for non-governmental and grass-roots organizations, conducts relevant research on WHO policies as well as their trend and supplies counseling and policy recommendations for the relevant departments.
